Hello! My name is Jennifer Shock and I am one of the art teachers at Elsa England Elementary in Austin, TX. I graduated from Marymount University (a private college near Washington DC).
I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. I lived in Washington, D.C. for almost 10 years, before moving back to Texas in 2012.
I come from an artistic family and my mother was a special education teacher. Even though I was discouraged from becoming an artist and a teacher, I could not help choosing art education as my career path. I love to work with kids and I wanted to share my passion for creativity. So in 2007, I decided to switch careers and went back to school to become an art teacher!
I love teaching art at Elsa England Elementary. My family and I live close by, England is not just where I teach, but part of my community.
